NIHT Refund and Withdrawal Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This policy governs refund eligibility, withdrawal procedures, and associated financial obligations for all students enrolled in the Sleep Technology Essentials 80‑Hour Certificate Program (BRPT STAR Approved – Focused 2, F0217). The policy applies from the point of enrollment through completion of all academic and clinical requirements.

2. Definitions

For purposes of this policy:

- "Enrollment Deposit": A mandatory, non‑refundable payment required to reserve a cohort seat.

- "Online Access": Activation of a student’s learning‑management‑system account, regardless of time spent viewing materials.

- "Tuition": Program fees excluding the enrollment deposit.

- "Clinical Training": Scheduled hands‑on training required for program completion.

- "Withdrawal": A formal removal from the program initiated by the student in writing.

3. Enrollment Deposit

A $500 enrollment deposit is required to secure program placement. The enrollment deposit is non‑refundable under all circumstances.

4. Tuition Refund Eligibility

4.1 Withdrawal Prior to Online Access: Students who withdraw before access to NIHT’s online platform is granted are eligible for a 100% refund of tuition paid, less the non‑refundable enrollment deposit.

4.2 Withdrawal After Online Access: Once any portion of the online platform is accessible, tuition becomes fully non‑refundable. Access includes course modules, instructional videos, downloadable materials, assessments, and any NIHT‑proprietary content.

5. Clinical Training

Tuition is non‑refundable once clinical training is scheduled or completed. Scheduling changes are subject to availability and clinical‑site policy.

6. Program Transfers

Students may request a one‑time transfer to a future cohort. Transfers require institutional approval and may incur fees. A transfer does not alter the non‑refundable status of tuition once online access has been granted.

7. Payment Plans

Students utilizing payment plans remain responsible for all scheduled payments. Full tuition becomes due upon accessing online materials. Academic records, certificates, and clinical scheduling are withheld until all balances are paid in full.

8. Institutional Cancellations

If NIHT cancels a program prior to granting online access, all tuition and enrollment deposits will be refunded. If cancellation occurs after access is granted, refunds may be prorated only if no proprietary materials have been accessed.

9. Extenuating Circumstances

Students may request consideration for documented medical emergencies, military deployment, or catastrophic events. Refunds are not granted if online materials have been accessed. NIHT may offer deferrals, extensions, or transfers at its discretion.

10. Withdrawal Procedures

Students must submit withdrawal requests in writing to admissions@myniht.com. Requests may require up to 14 business days for processing. All outstanding financial obligations must be resolved.

11. Intellectual Property

All course materials are protected by U.S. copyright law. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution may result in dismissal without refund and may lead to legal action.

12. Release of Certificates and Academic Records

NIHT issues certificates and related documentation only after full tuition payment and successful completion of all academic and clinical requirements.

13. Policy Revisions

NIHT reserves the right to revise this policy. The current version posted at myniht.com constitutes the governing policy.

Continued enrollment signifies acceptance of all revisions.
