The program includes a combination of live online instruction and hands-on clinical experience.
Students complete 60 hours of live online classes via Zoom and 20 hours of clinical training, which may be completed in your home state or at an approved site. Details are coordinated after enrollment.
This program is BRPT STAR-approved (Focused 2 – Code F2017).
STAR approval confirms that the curriculum meets the standardized education requirements set by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and helps prepare students to pursue professional credentialing once eligibility requirements are met.
No prior healthcare experience is required.
This program is designed for individuals entering the field as well as those transitioning from related healthcare roles.
The program is structured as an 80-hour certificate program.
Completion time depends on cohort scheduling and clinical coordination. Most students complete the program within a few months.
Yes. Students who live outside of Georgia may still enroll.
For the clinical portion of the program (20 hours), students may either complete their hands-on training at our accredited sleep lab or arrange clinical training at an accredited sleep lab in their home state.
Students are welcome to begin exploring local accredited sleep labs in their area that may be willing to host their clinical training. All clinical sites must meet program and accreditation requirements and are reviewed and coordinated with our Admissions Team after enrollment.

Yes, we recommend purchasing the “Essentials of Polysomnography (3rd Edition) by William Spriggs” textbook. Details on where to order will be included in your acceptance packet.
After successful completion, students receive a certificate of completion and may pursue professional credentialing in accordance with BRPT eligibility requirements.
